[00:00:04] Hello, and welcome to the Second Row Conversations podcast. I'm Letitia, also known as Lady P. And I'm so excited that you've decided to join me today. Thank you for all of the love and the support that you are giving me. It has been an amazing journey. It continues to be an amazing journey, and I am so excited that you are on this journey with me. We've been doing it now, this now for a few months. Where is the time going? It's going fast. So again, thank you. Thank you. Special thank you to all of the guests that have been on with me thus far. I really appreciate it, and I'm so excited for the guests that are to come. So thank you again. All right, so today we're going to do an motw, a message of the week for those of you who are new. Every now and then, I will come on and do a message of the week to kind of give you some tidbits, some nuggets from the message I received from church from the previous weekend. So I missed last Sunday, had to do some work for the peach cobbler factory. If you know, you know. But last Sunday, the previous Sunday, I received an awesome message from Pastor Jeremy. And so I wanted to share a little bit of nuggets with you on today. So today's MOTW is coming from Jeremiah 20, verses 6 through 9. Again, it's Jeremiah, chapter 20, verses 6 through 9. And the message topic, the message that he gave, the topic he gave for that message was it won't let me quit. It won't let me quit. So just some nuggets. So everyone that God has called has thought about giving up. Everyone, all of us who've had that, have a purpose. Whenever God has called us, there have been times in our lives where we felt like, this is not good. This is not it. I'm done. I am over it. [00:01:52] There are times that we could no longer feel like we could no longer carry the responsibility. It was just too heavy. And I think that we all can attest that in times when we know that there's a calling in our life and we start walking in that calling, that we feel like we just don't want to do it anymore, we are over it. We're done. It's too much and we're tired. [00:02:13] The call can be lonely, isolated, and somber. And I have said that even though being a first lady is not a calling per se, right? Our husbands, my spouses, are the ones that are called. But being apart, being there with them, serving with them, can Be a lonely space that even though we are sitting on the second row and it may be people in the church and church is full, it is a lonely space sometime. And so it's isolating you. You feel like nobody else is understanding what you're going through or what life is like. And so again, that's why I kind of started the second row conversations, because those are times where you feel like you have no one else to talk to. And so it's isolating. That call can be isolating and lonely. [00:03:02] But some people try to make it, make the call as if they're superstars. [00:03:09] And we know, we all know people who are like that. They're calling on their life makes them a superstar. But that's not the life, that's not the way it should be the call. [00:03:17] Life is meant to be a sacrifice. So when you are called is not about you being the superstar. Not everyone are catering to you and making you the best thing ever. And you have to do nothing. Everybody's doing everything for you. It is a life of sacrifice, right? Jesus showed us that it is a life of sacrifice about giving, about serving others, not about you being served. [00:03:46] One point that he really told us and drilled into us is that you can only impart what is in you, right? So you can only give out to others. You can only pour into others what is in you. So if a life of sacrifice and helping and serving, if that's what's in you, then that's what you can impart into others. If you have a life of wanting to be served all the time and negativity and thinking it's all about you, then that's what you're going to pour out into other people. So what is in you is what you impart in, in others. So take a minute, think about that. What, what's in you? How are you helping others? How are you importing life into other people? So God called Jeremiah to warn Judah and Israel, to warn them about their actions and to proclaim God's word. [00:04:36] And that can be hard. [00:04:39] I know Pastor talked about, you know, now a lot of people want the prophets to come. And all they want to hear is prophesying about houses and cars and jobs and husbands and wives and all of the positive things. But during the Bible time, during the times of, of the Bible, people would run away when the prophets were coming because they were coming to give. It wasn't always good things. It was coming to warn you and to let you know that if you don't do what you're supposed to do. The destruction is coming. So people didn't always want to hear what the prophet had to say. And Jeremiah had that heaviness on him because he had to warn the people about their actions. And that was heavy. He wasn't the popular person. He wasn't the popular prophet. He. He. People didn't want to see him coming. They thought he. [00:05:28] In my words, they. They thought he was, I'm gonna say, scary and just not giving them what they wanted to hear. And that was heavy on him. At the time, people were practicing idolatry, and there was a lot of injustice going on. So those are the things that Jeremiah was warning them about. We have to know that in this season, we are not to follow the popular voice, but we have to follow the trusted voice. Okay, so even though there may be a prophet or a pastor that's coming, that's very popular because they talk about all the good things, all the great things, all the houses and all the things that come in, that may be the popular voice. But what is the trusted voice? The trusted voice that's saying, this is what, Thus saith the Lord, right? Yes, you can get the great things, but are you living a life? Are you living a life that represents Christ and all that you saying you do? So we have to make sure that. To understand that this is not the season to follow the popular voice, but it's the season to follow the trusted voice. [00:06:35] The word of God should still convict you and correct you. That's what the word of God should be doing. And that comes through the prophet in many cases. So make sure again, that it's not just getting all of the great things, all the blessings, but it's also giving you the word that. That lets you know the life you should be living and how we should be representing Christ. Your whole life was a forming process. What you went through was to help others. Okay? So your whole life. And we all can think back on experiences that we've had, negative experiences in our minds, the positive things, all that we've gone through has been a forming process to help you get a help others, allow you to help others. So don't think about it as, oh, this is just a bad season. Think about it. This is a learning season. What can I learn through this season? You can't expect to fulfill your calling without there being challenges, going to be hills, going to be valleys. [00:07:41] It's going to happen. So in order for you to fulfill your calling, there are going to be some challenges. But you can't give up. You can't stop in the valley. You can't stop when it becomes a lot. That's when you really put your trust in God. The Bible says God says when you weak, that's when I'm strong. So you have to remember that even in those times where you feel like you are just falling apart, there is strength. God gives you strength to keep going. So you, you can't expect to fulfill it without there being some challenges. But if God before you, better than the world against you gotta remember that. Okay, a question. Can you be anointed under adverse circumstances? [00:08:23] Jeremiah was thrown in jail. Even during this time, fair and doing this, this what's going on in the scripture time. He was thrown in jail, but he was still anointed. So even under circumstances, Listen, jail is a whole nother level. So can you imagine being locked up and still saying, God has a purpose for my life and I'm still anointed and appointed to do what Thus sayeth the Lord. [00:08:49] Adverse circumstances comes often. [00:08:52] Often. [00:08:54] I know sometimes we say if it's not one thing is something else. Ten other things, adverse circumstances. But can you still be anointed under those circumstances? [00:09:04] Jeremiah went through this period after thinking about the heaviness that he's going through. And God, you want me to warn these people, you want me to go through all of this and I just can't do it. And Jeremiah tells God, you deceived me, you called me, everyone is making fun of me. He says, I will not preach, teach, or mention your name anymore. I'm done. And hey, is there a witness out there that can say that I've been there, you know, I've tried to live a life that represents you. I've lost friends, I've lost family. Life is hard. I just don't know if I can do this anymore. God, I don't know if I can represent you. I don't know if I can live this life that I feel like you've called me to live. But I just don't know if I can do it anymore. I'm just, I'm done. I'm done. But then Jeremiah remembered. He remembered all that God had done for him. And even though pastor likes to say, you know, even though he sat down in me across his arms and said, I'm not doing it anymore, he thought about all that God had done for him, how good God had been to him. And Jeremiah said, is, is the. It's like fire shut up in my bones. It wouldn't let him sit still. It wouldn't let him not tell of his goodness, of God's goodness. And so he had to come out of that thing and say, nah, I can't say that. I can't live a life where I'm not talking about God. I can't live a life where I'm not telling someone about God's goodness. It won't let me quit. [00:10:35] His goodness, his anointing, his calling on my life won't let me quit. And so that's how we have to live, understanding that no matter where we are, no matter how hard it can be, no matter what adverse circumstances we may face, you can't stop fulfilling your call. You can't stop living for God. There's a calling on our lives. He has called us. The Bible says that he told Jeremiah, before I even knew you, before you even formed, I knew you. I had anointed you, I had appointed, I had called you. And so we have to remember that even before our mama met our daddy, right, that God had a purpose for us. And we cannot quit. Someone is depending on you. Someone needs you to fulfill your call. So we got to remember that. So I hope these nuggets have helped you to understand that no matter what comes, no matter what goes, you have to keep going. You can't quit. All right, thank you, thank you, thank you for joining me. I ask that you, like, follow and share we on all platforms, social media platforms, we are on Apple, Spotify, wherever you get your podcast. And as I says, say always, no matter where God has placed you, no matter where God has put you, no matter what you're going through, remember to accept it, embrace it, and flourish in it. I'll see you next time.
